The partnership between Kenya Railways Corporation
and Laikipia County Government will help Nanyuki town reclaim its position as a
tourist destination.
Over
the weekend the partnership brought hundreds of holidaymakers in the town where
they visited the renown Ol Pajeta Conservancy plus other destinations.
Business-persons had a sigh of relief following the influx of guests in their premises during
the two days visit.
Kenyatta is opening the economy in phases following the impact of Covid 19.
The hoteliers made a kill as their accommodated
the guests as well as preparing meals.

Njenga appreciated the programme saying more people will visit Laikipia and
explore untapped opportunities.
“I
have made new friends in Nanyuki town who I will be communicating with in the due course,” said Njenga.

Nicholas Biwott Tirop said the county government will work with other partners.
The county official said the railway line will revamp major towns in Central Kenya and create employment to hundreds of the
youth.
“Governor
Ndiritu Muriithi has interests to develop the county,” said Biwott.
