Kenya Roads Board has
disbursed Sh59.3 billion to the agencies and county government for maintenance
of highways.
In the disbursement for the year
2019/2020, Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA) got Sh24.6
billion, Kenya Rural Roads Authority (KERRA) Sh 13 billion and Kenya
Urban Roads Authority (KURA) Sh6.1 billion.
In the allocation the board disbursed to Kenya Wildlife
Service (KWS) Sh598 million, County Governments Sh8.9 billion and
Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure Sh5.9 billion.
In a circular by Acting Board’s Executive Director Rashid Mohammed
the county governments will share Sh8.9 billion.
