Musalia Mudavadi led Amani National Congress (ANC)
has made inroads in Murang’a and fished popular leadership in the past one
week.
In the list to
relocate to ANC are former Maragua MP Peter Kamande Mwangi and James Karihe Gathungu after they deserted the Jubilee Party.
The two with their
followers from Murang’a were received by Musalia as they pledged to assist the
party embark on a major recruitment drive in Central Kenya.
In Mt Kenya region, Musalia has partnered with former
Murang’a Jubilee Party Chairman Lawyer Simon Kamau Gikuru to penetrate the
counties.
Gikuru said Musalia was a proven leader having
worked in the governments of the late President Daniel Moi and Retired
President Mwai Kibaki.
Welcoming Murang’a leaders in the party, Musalia said he
was an experienced person who can be trusted to revive the economy as he did when the country suffered over bad debts.
“Just the former
President Kibaki revived the economy during his 10 year term, am also able to
do the same and negotiate with financial partners for the reschedule of debts,” said Musalia.
