Former Kirinyaga Deputy Governor Peter Ndambiri has exuded confidence to capture Kirinyaga Gubernatorial seat in the upcoming 2027 political duel.
Ndambiri is seeking to succeed his former boss Anne Waiguru who he deputised between 2017-2022 says he has backing of the Kirinyaga people.
In the race, the Kirinyaga politician is flying the People’s Liberation Party (PLP) ticket, with the blessings of the party leader Martha Karua.

In his home tuff in South Ngariama murinduko ward in Mwea Constituency joined by Karua, Ndambiri declared his candidature and sought the blessings of Kirinyaga elders to throw his hat in the ring.
” I ask for your blessings and prayers as I go out to crisscross the county seeking for votes to be the Governor, I believe the people from my home area are my strongest supporters,” he said.
The Gubernatorial aspirant used the forum to outline his vision for the county across the social economic sector.
He singled out the acute water shortage in Mwea irrigation scheme and pledged that the problem will be a thing of the past once he assumes office after August elections next year.
He also took issue with the poor pishori Rice Marketing plans and challenged the National Government to live up to its promises to buy Mwea Rice before any import is done.

He said that he was always on the forefront to defend the privatisation and sale of Mwea Rice mill which he said had earned him political enemies Nationally.
Ndambiri said he will never relent in defending the rights of Mwea people and the entire county especially in the farming sector.
He stressed he was most experienced in leadership and governance to take up the top most seat in Kirinyaga and serve the residents to their expectations.

” I will use my past experience as a former Deputy Governor to scale higher the development in the county,” he said.
