Interior  and National Coordination Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen has downplayed the celebrated return of former Deputy President  Rigathi Gachagua scheduled on Thursday, after three weeks in the US.

The CS said thousands of travellers use JKIA, after their international tours,  as he  downplayed hyped celebration by the allies of Gachagua.

“Gachagua is not the only Kenyan returning home after an overseas trip,” said the CS in response to the media while in Murang’a.

“There are so many people landing in Kenya every day, so I don’t know why we should be worried when one person is landing,” said the CS.

He was in Murang’a for the Jukwaa la Usalama forum accompanied by Police Inspector General Douglas Kanja, and Central Regional Coordinator Joshua Nkanatha, where he warned Gachagua and his allies against fanning violence.

“ Any inflammatory remarks will be dealt with, as for the time he has been away, the country has been relatively peaceful,” said the CS.
