Former President Uhuru Kenyatta allies faced the parliamentary  committee after they were nominated by President William Ruto  for Cabinet Secretaries positions.

The Cabinet nominees Mutahi Kagwe, William Kabogo and Lee Kinyanjui have been nominated  for the slots in agriculture, ICT and investment respectively.

The committee was chaired by speaker Moses Wetangula.

Kagwe was a household name as he was the CS in the health docket when the Covid 19 crises struck.

The nominee said he will engage the stakeholders in the agriculture sector to address the misinformation.

Kabogo was the chairman to Tujibebe party a post he said he relinquished after the appointment. He was Kiambu governor between 2013 and 2017.

Kinyanjui was the Nakuru governor between 2023 and 2022.
