Murang’a County Government has continued on the improvement of ECDE centres in a move to make them conducive for learning.

More classrooms have been launched in Ngurunga,  Kyaume and Ngelelya ECDEs in Ithanga ward, Gatanga Constituency by Governor Irungu Kang’ata.

The Governor said the establishment of the Ngurunga ECDE will provide space for PP1 & PP2  pupils who have been sharing a classroom.

The centres have been furnished with chairs and tables to ensure the comfort of the young learners.

“These facilities in Ithanga ward will provide a conducive learning environment for the pupils in an effort by the County Government to encourage enrollment of pupils into Early Childhood Development Education(ECDE),” said the governor.

During the working tour of Ithanga,  Kang’ata also launched the new Mentor Sacco loop access road in Kaguku market established under the Smart City programme.

This road leading to the market has improved access to the market more accessible, thus attracting more traders than before.

The governor was accompanied by host MCA Alex Ndunda , and Deputy Speaker Moses Gachui among others.
