African Independent Pentecostal Church of Africa (AIPCA) is set to hold its national election on November 27, as ordered by the office of the registrar of societies.

Church secretary-general Simon Kimaru said the church, parish, and denary election have been held to comply with the law, to streamline the activities.

He spoke at Mbugiti village, Gatanga during burial of Peter Muigai Karanja who was a church member and a businessman at Gatura market.

The directive to hold an election originated from the office of the registrar of societies in efforts to end the two-year-old leadership wrangles.

“The elections have been held in churches, parishes and this Friday were shall be holding Diocesan election, to comply with the law,” said Kimaru.

The process to hold an election was ordered after church leaders Archbishops Julius Njoroge, Fredrick Wang’ombe and Samson Muthuri agreed to bury their hatchets.

The positions to be filled are Nnational Chairman, Vice National Chairman, Secretary General, Assistant Secretary-General, National Treasurer, Assistant National Treasurer and the Organising Secretary.
